This moon vessel is part of a collaboration series with ceramicist Cicilia, also known as Stuff.wip.
When I first saw the beautifully symmetrical moon vessel, I saw it as a blank canvas; an opportunity to create an abstract painting that would complement the form rather than overpower it. My aim was to highlight and enhance the craftsmanship of Cicilia’s piece while adding my own artistic language through glaze.
The final result was more than just a successful glaze outcome, it became a kind of cosmic landscape. Since then, we’ve continued developing a series of collaborative works in different shapes, sizes, and glaze palettes, creating ceramic pieces that bring a sense of galactic art into homes and gallery spaces.
